The short version: this website sets no cookies of its own. Almost everything described here only runs after you choose to accept it.

Some cookies ensure that parts of the website work properly and that your preferences remain known. On this website the only thing stored for that purpose is your own cookie choice, so that we do not ask you again on every page. We may store this without your consent.

Statistics cookies help us understand how the website is used so we can improve it. On this website they are loaded only if you accept them.

2.3 Marketing/Tracking cookies

Marketing/tracking cookies are cookies, or any other form of local storage, used to build a profile of you or to follow you across websites. This website does not display advertising. The analytics services listed below may set cookies of this kind, and they are loaded only if you accept them.

3. What this website stores

3.1 Placed by this website

One entry, and it is not a cookie:

Name: townhall-consent
Where: local storage in your browser
Value: granted or denied
Purpose: remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask you again
Expires: it does not expire on its own — it stays until you change your choice or clear this site's data in your browser

That is the whole footprint of the website itself. We set no cookies of our own, on any page.

3.2 Before you make a choice

Until you accept, no analytics or tracking services are loaded.

There is one exception. Our pricing page shows a payment table provided by Stripe. It loads as soon as that page opens, before any choice, and sets its own cookies — __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid — which Stripe uses to operate the table and to prevent fraud. No other page loads Stripe.

3.3 Only after you accept

If you accept, we load three services:

Google Tag Manager (GTM-PP9F7RZ) — loads the two services below.
Google Analytics 4 (G-VFCZ70FY1T) — tells us which pages are visited, so we can improve the site.
Microsoft Clarity (ugewezxllw) — shows us anonymised usage patterns, such as where visitors click.

Once loaded, these services set their own cookies. Google is documented to use cookies such as _ga, _ga_<id> and _gid; Microsoft Clarity is documented to use _clck, _clsk, CLID and MUID. We do not control which cookies these companies set and the exact set can change, so treat that as a guide rather than a guarantee. Their own policies are the authoritative source: Google and Microsoft.

3.4 Only if you play a video

Some pages embed videos. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you click play — until then you are only looking at a still image hosted by us. When you do click play, the video loads from youtube-nocookie.com, YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may then set cookies. If you never click play, YouTube is never contacted.

3.5 Changing your mind

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time in section 4.1 below. Withdrawing removes the analytics services and reloads the page.

When you visit our website for the first time, we will show you a pop-up with an explanation about cookies. You do have the right to opt-out and to object against the further use of non-functional cookies.

5. Enabling/disabling and deleting cookies

You can use your internet browser to automatically or manually delete cookies. You can also specify that certain cookies may not be placed. Another option is to change the settings of your internet browser so that you receive a message each time a cookie is placed. Blocking all cookies in your browser will not stop this website from working, because it sets none of its own. It may stop the payment table on our pricing page from loading, and it will stop the services listed in section 3.3 from working if you have accepted them.

you may object to the processing;
you may request an overview, in a commonly used format, of the data we process about you;
